EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

PRESIDENT
Chad Peacock

Chad Peacock has been a member of the Auburn/Opelika LGBTQ+ community since 2007.  He helped establish, promote, and manage Roy G Biv, Auburn's Premier Drag Show, since its inception in 2012.  Though he has been someone who frequently works behind the scenes, Chad has always been a positive role model in the community and has had an enduring passion to unite and celebrate our LGBTQIA+ community.  He currently serves as the Head Member Service Representative at Auburn's Credit Union.

SECRETARY
​Julio Yanes

​Julio Alejandro Yanes is a graduate student in Auburn University’s Doctoral Program in Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences. Originally from Miami, Florida, he spent several years volunteering with SAVE, recognized as South Florida’s leading organization dedicated to protecting people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) against discrimination. He holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from Florida International University (FIU), where he co-chaired the FIU Relay for Life Committee, raising more than $90,000 for the American Cancer Society. Julio has also worked with several Miami-based groups and organizations, including the Miami Children’s Hospital, The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis, and Miami-Dade Animal Services.

VICE PRESIDENT
Lee Miller

Lee Miller is an Auburn University graduate in Mathematics Education, and is currently a High School Mathematics Teacher in the Auburn/Opelika Area.  During his undergraduate career, he served as Vice President of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Vice President for the Program to Achieve Collegiate Excellence, became NASA's Alabama Space Grant Teaching Scholar, and received the United States Achievement Award.  In addition, he served as President of the Delta Epsilon Iota Career Honor Fraternity, where he received the Casey Lovoy Chapter Leadership Award. Currently, Lee is Alumni Chapter Advisor of the Theta Xi Fraternity at Auburn. He is currently attending Auburn University for a Master's in Mathematics Education.

​Seth McCollough

Seth McCollough is an Auburn University graduate and now a teacher with Auburn City Schools. Seth has extensive experience with budgeting and keeping track of funds for large organizations. He is excited to see a Pride event come to East Alabama, and thrilled to have a chance to be a part of its creation and organization.

FUNDRAISING CHAIRMAN
Timothy Peacock

Picture
Timothy Peacock, also known as Imberli Vontrell, has been a pillar in Auburn's LGBTQ+ community for more than seven years.  After serving his country as a Combat Engineer in the United States Armed Forces for four years, Tim  worked with local entertainers to organize Auburn's very first drag show 2012.  Currently, he is Show Director for Auburn's premier drag show, Roy G Biv, and holds the title "Ms. Birmingham Rising Star, 2017."  As renowned local hairstylist, Tim has worked with many prestigious groups, including  Dancing Stars of East Alabama, CMT, and Vevo.

Megan Henry

Megan Llewellyn Henry has been active in the LGBTQ+ community for nearly 25 years. Whether joining with RuPaul and Sir Elton John in the AIDS marches in Atlanta, Georgia, or campaigning for equality, service has always been the cornerstone for her activism. After being honored with the Darlington Community Service Award, Megan attended Auburn University where she earned a BA in Anthropology and an MS in Archaeology and Sociology. Megan currently lives in the Auburn area with her husband, Steven Henry, and her three children, where she teaches archaeology classes as supplemental education to children in Lee county. She continues to mentor young adults and students through her church, St. Dunstan's the Episcopal Church at Auburn University, and work with the Rice and Beans Ministry to provide food to lower income families in East Alabama.

Ethan Burt

Ethan Tyler Burt is a recent graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Geography and a minor in Sustainability Studies. He has plans to start graduate school soon, and pursue a graduate dual-degree in Geography and Community Planning. Ethan is originally from Athens, Alabama, but has resided in Auburn for the last five years. Throughout his time in Auburn, he has been a member of the Auburn University Marching Band, playing the alto saxophone for four consecutive seasons, and is also a Facilities Supervisor at the Auburn University Recreation and Wellness Center.

PUBLIC RELATIONS CHAIRMAN
Dylan Clark

​Dylan Clark is a Public Relations and Political Science major at Auburn University. He’s a graphic designer and communications assistant for the AU Government & Economic Development Institute, as well as a web developer for the AU MRI Research Center. An Eagle Scout from Anniston, Alabama, he is committed to the LGBTQ+ movement, serving as the statewide chair of the LGBT Caucus for the Alabama College Democrats, in addition to the Treasurer for Spectrum: Auburn University’s Gay-Straight Alliance. ​

MERCHANDISING CHAIRMAN
Aaron Spraggins

Picture
Aaron Spraggins has been a member of Auburn's LGBTQ+ community since 2012. An Auburn native, Aaron has worked in screen printing for more than five years in the Auburn/Opelika area. Currently, he prints for Mammoth Printshop. Aaron is a choir member at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, where he helps with the youth choir as well. Having been raised in Auburn, he is very excited to serve as on the Board of Governors, helping to celebrate the very first Pride on the Plains.
