EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

PRESIDENT
Chad Peacock

Chad Peacock has been a member of the Auburn/Opelika LGBTQ+ community since 2007.  He has helped to establish, promote, and manage "Roy G Biv," Auburn's premier drag show, since its inception in 2012.  Though he has been someone who frequently works behind the scenes, Chad has always been a positive role model in the community and has had an enduring passion to unite and celebrate our LGBTQ+ community.  

SECRETARY
Do'Nyal Webb

Do'Nyal Webb is a recent graduate from Auburn University, where she studied public relations communication and business. She currently works as a Leasing and Marketing Manager at Aspen Heights. Do'Nyal has also worked with Auburn University and the Opelika Chamber of Commerce. She serves on several executive boards and has a strong background in general board operations. She looks forward to using her skills in digital and content media to support Pride on The Plains. 

VICE PRESIDENT
Julio Alejandro Yanes

​Julio Alejandro Yanes is a graduate student in Auburn University’s Department of Psychology. Originally from Miami, Florida, he spent several years volunteering with SAVE, recognized as South Florida’s leading organization dedicated to protecting people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ+) against discrimination. Julio has also worked with other Miami-based groups, including Miami-Dade Animal Services, Miami Children’s Hospital, and The Miami Project to Cure Paralysis.

TREASURER
​Seth McCollough

Seth McCollough is an Auburn University graduate and now a teacher with Auburn City Schools. Seth has extensive experience with budgeting and keeping track of funds for large organizations. He is excited to see a Pride event come to East Alabama, and thrilled to have a chance to be a part of its creation and organization.

Timothy Peacock

Timothy Peacock, also known as Imberli Vontrell, has been a pillar in Auburn's  LGBTQ+  community  for more than eight years. After serving his country for four years as a Combat Engineer in the United States Armed Forces, Tim  worked with local entertainers to organize Auburn's first drag show 2012. As celebrated hairstylist Auburn-Opelika, Tim has worked with many well-known groups, including  Dancing Stars of East Alabama, CMT, and Vevo.  

PARADES AND MARCH
Marcus Gulatte

Marcus Gulatte had the privilege of serving on the Pride on The Plains 2017-2018 Auxiliary Board, where he worked under the Parades and March Chair. Having been born and raised in Auburn, Alabama, Marcus is thrilled about the changes he's seeing in Lee County, such as LGBTQ+ people being having one voice and being recognized. He is looking forward to another successful Pride Parade in historic downtown Opelika!

MERCHANDISE
Aaron Spraggins

Aaron Spraggins has been a member of Auburn's LGBTQ+ community since 2012. An Auburn native, Aaron has worked in screen printing for more than five years in the Auburn/Opelika area. Currently, he prints for Mammoth Printshop. Aaron is a choir member at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, where he helps with the youth choir as well. Having been native to Auburn, he is very excited to serve as on the Board of Governors, helping to bring Pride on the Plains to life.

VENDORS / SPONSORSHIP
​Chris Landry

Chris Landry is excited to serve as the Vendors and Sponsorship Chair for Pride on The Plains. Throughout the year, he works at Auburn University supporting students and families in their transition to college. He also works with the GLBTA Network of the Association for Orientation, Transition, and Retention in Higher Education to train folks to facilitate "Safe Zone" sessions and to organize queer-focused initiatives for members. He has lived in the Auburn/Opelika area for two years and is grateful for the home and family he’s found here!

AUXILIARY BOARD MEMBERS

The Auxiliary Board consists of five-to-ten members, who work alongside the Executive Council and Members at Large.

Robert Booker is an auxiliary board member who oversees security during Pride on The Plains events. He is excited to be working with such a great organization.

Diego Gomez-Maldonado is an auxiliary board member working with the Public Relations Committee. He is a graduate student  in Auburn University's School of Forestry and Wildlife. He is excited to help build a supportive, stronger and close community in the Auburn-Opelika area where everyone can be the best version of themselves.

Taylor McKendree is an auxiliary board member working on parade/festival activities. She was born and raised in Auburn-Opelika. Taylor is excited to meet new people while helping her community celebrate Pride!

Dakota Shamblin is an auxiliary board member working with the Merchandise Committee. He is studying horticulture at Auburn University. This year, Dakota is hoping to become more acquainted with the queer community in Auburn-Opelika.

Rachel Giorgina Wolfe is an auxiliary board member working with the Benefits and Fundraisers Committee. Currently, she is studying fashion merchandise at Auburn University. She has worked with several groups around campus, including the annual Fashion Show Event.

Zachary Dye (Zach) is an auxiliary board member working with the Fundraisers and Benefits Committee. Currently, he is a graduate student at Auburn University pursuing a master's degree in Animal Sciences with a concentration in Reproductive Biology. He is very excited about making this year’s parade/festival even better than ever!

Mallory Hagan is an auxiliary board member working with the Public Relations Committee. Past experiences related to her position include running for Congress in Alabama's 3rd Congressional District, anchoring a local NBC news affiliate, and serving as Miss America 2013. Mallory advocates to end child sexual abuse.

Jessie Schwiesow is an auxiliary board member working with the Parades and March Committee. She works as a Linkage Coordinator for people living with HIV at Unity Wellness Center in Opelika. She's thrilled about promoting inclusion and acceptance within our community.
